Hello, I am Ataberk. I am studying mechanical engineering at Dokuz Eylül University in Izmir, Türkiye.
Since my father was an air force sergeant first class, I grew up in jet planes throughout my childhood. That's why I've loved aviation, flying and airplanes since my childhood. I am someone who loves my freedom. I like to push my limits and take part in experiences that not everyone does. Exploring new places and meeting new people makes me happy.
I have 3 main interests. 1. Aviation 2. Music 3.Nature. I am charting my path by adding new experiences to myself in these three areas.
My basic philosophy in this life is to contribute to people with my talents and knowledge, and to add new things to myself from people and the experiences I have had.
And more important for me, in terms of my mechanichal engineer career, I want to work and live in Germany for a certain period of time after graduating from university. For this reason, I aim to adapt to the German culture, life and language as much as possible during this time and also establish a network for my mechanichal engineer career in Germany.
That's why I joined the Workaway platform, with my modest budget as a student; To travel to new places, gain new experiences, benefit people with my skills and knowledge, and gain new friendships. :)

I am a mechanical engineer student, and I have experience designing things and producing different handcrafted projects since I was little. I have a RC model airplane that I developed individually, which I designed and manufactured. I am prone to woodworking.
Our university gave us a 1-month workshop training. I received practical training in 14 different fields (welding, lathe, milling, wood modeling, CNC, cold forming, etc.).
I am interested in growing plants as an amateur.
I worked for two weeks on academic bird ringing studies in the Samsun Kızılırmak delta. Again, under an academic and ecological project, by volunteering in field studies on the beach for sea turtles for 86 days within Ekad. I worked on conservation, data collection, environmental awareness, mapping and investigation.
I can play the piano and a little guitar as an amateur. I am open to taking part in music projects.
In the two ecological projects I was involved in, we were doing all our needs, cleaning, cooking, etc., in teams, on a rotating basis, so I am experienced in these jobs.
