Hello, I am starting a period of travelling to connect with cultures outside my own and to learn skills and ideas that I can bring back home.
I'm very interested in how different communities function from growing food to making decisions, I love gardening, building and fixing things and doubly so when it's for people or community that I respect.
I am a dedicated meditator and am looking for places where I can maintain a practice while giving back and learning.
I have spend the past few years bouncing between working with community groups in conservation, or social activism and working in meditation centres as a cook or doing general labour.
I love sharing food, stories and ideas.

I really enjoy physical work, I am fit and like to work outside.
I've got plenty of experience cooking for big groups from 20 to 500 from catering different activist events in Australia.
I've spent a fair bit of time gardening, working on market gardens and farms and some time working repairing bicycles.
I've worked doing media releases and essays for some different groups and can help out with written work in english.
I have spent time facilitating groups through consensus processes and am interested in how communities can make fair democratic decisions together.
I am a fast learner and learning is what I am keen to do the most, learn new skills and connect with new ideas.

The accomodation, food and hospitality were all wonderful (expect it to be a bit spicy) and bhante was kind enough to organize some trips for us to other temples in the area and an amazing over night hike to sri pada (a buddhist pilgrimage spot).
