Hi all! I'm an enthusiastic traveller, originally from Spain, who just graduated with a Masters's degree in Astrophysics from the University of Glasgow- and also a very creative and artistic soul!

I decided to take a gap year and fulfil a lifelong dream: volunteering in India. Since I was 17 I have been fascinated by the rich culture of this country (and the desi music!). I have read a lot and made many Indian friends while living in the UK, so I've become quite culturally aware. I am into meditation and psychology/spirituality.

I am also learning Hindi for the past month :) - I am excited to immerse into Indian culture during my volunteering!

As a people person, flexible, curious and deeply empathetic, I have a deep sense of giving my best to other people. I love learning about the world through new points of view, so I will be more than happy to immerse in your community.

📚 I have 4-years of experience in teaching children one-on-one and in a high-school classroom (I have a police check if needed) in maths, science and language. During my trip, I want to help you make an impact on people who would not normally have access to experienced professionals. I have been constantly learning new languages as a passion and a way to understand other cultures and communicate with their people. I would love to learn more about the language you speak in your community and at home! Languages I am currently actively learning: Hindi and Italian. I have taught Spanish as a private tutor for a year to two teenage students.

- Private Maths and Physics tutor for 4 years, creating engaging lessons for kids from 9 to 18 years old, also for students with learning difficulties.
- Physics teacher assistant at a Scottish high school for 3 months. Using my technical and creativity skills I made a physics board game for students to ace their final exams. Also gave astronomy lessons. (I have an official police check available to provide you!)

I love cooking meals from other cultures. I have learned to cook rich meals for myself for the past 5 years and can help you cook if you need a hand! I cook a lot of Indian food at home.

I am vegetarian, but can follow a flexible diet according to the food available :) (I can eat meat) and I don't drink alcohol
