Description
Retired from the public service, I am in my early sixties. I have already participated in 2 Workaways and really enjoyed the experience. Both in france. I speak French fairly well but don't get enough practice.

For hobbies I like to swim in the sea most times of the year and recently took up Pickleball which I am really enjoying as well as tennis. I play the guitar in a casual way and get together with a few like-minded neighbours for a jam session occasionally. I like to keep up with current events in the world so watch a lot of TV, too much if I am being honest.

I live in a beautiful part of the world, west coast of Ireland on the shores of Galway Bay.

For hosts who might consider me, I can garden, work in a tunnel, I am fit and healthy as I play a lot of sports. I can paint as in decorate, which I have done for previous hosts. Housekeeping, cooking, no problem.

Open to doing housework, gardening, have a qualification in teaching English though little experience but would be open to doing conversation class with adults, I like writing if anyone needs assistance with grant or funding documents. I can do housework so would be good in a b and b, guesthouse, can cook, do some gardening,

Anne is good company and was a willing, hardworking help with all the work we did in the garden and brewery – including making molehills out of mountains and beer from ginger ! She’s a very unassuming guest, a demon card player but easy to host. With her friend she got to explore the local area, meet the residents and make good use of her French.

Andrew gave us a great welcome with delicious raclette and a glass of his Fox Hat beer. He is very hospitable, we had delicious food and great chays followed by the infamous beer quiz and cards. I stayed with Margaurite and Claude for 10 days in September. They are rennovating the house of a wine merchant family who used it in the Summer to avoid the heat of the lowlands.
