Description
Hello, my name is Anne, I'm a 33-year old woman from Rotterdam, The Netherlands. Since I did my first long solotravel through Asia in 2019, I always try to find a way to have little breaks in my daily life. From weekendtrips with my campervan to longer trips to faraway-countries. The most important ingredients for me are nature, having no plan, meeting people and discovering other cultures.
I love to start my day in silence, practicing yoga, breath work and meditation. I also love to swim in nature, go to ecstatic dance or singing circles. I have close and open relationships with my friends and family, this is important for me.
Last September I quit my job as a journalist for a local news platform focussed on positive stories. I'm starting to work as a freelance text writer, because it gives me the opportunity to have more freedom in my life. The 9-5-work life in a busy city is sometimes a bit too much for me. I hope to find a better balance in this and my upcoming trip gives me the time and space to think about this.
I did a few workaways in 2019 and I really enjoyed it. I like to wake up with a purpose, having some daily tasks, doing things with my hands. I'm always eager to learn new things.

My study- and work background are in communications and text writing. Besides that I'm a practical person with a hands-on mentality. I love cooking and doing creative stuff as sewing, painting, etc. Also I harvest my own vegetables at a local farm since this year, and farming is a skill I like to develop further.

I'm practicing yoga and breath work, mostly early mornings to start my day. Besides that I'm into conscious dance and mantra singing. Also I'd like to do creative things, like drawing, painting, sewing, pottery. And I want to learn more about gardening, mostly for vegetables, herbs and fruits.
