Hello and nice to meet you! :)
I am Anna, 27 years old, and I have just finished my studies. I joined Workaway two years ago during a gap year from university with the goal of meeting new people and immersing myself in different cultures. I have always believed that travel is not just about visiting new places but also about building meaningful connections with the locals who live there. Looking back, I can honestly say my expectations have been far exceeded! Whether it is sharing meals, learning about traditions, or exchanging stories and skills, each encounter has broadened my perspective and challenged my assumptions in the best ways.
I am especially passionate about sustainable living, permaculture, and farming, and I hope to continue learning as much as I can about these practices. At the same time, I love the idea of sharing knowledge and experiences, so I hope I can teach you something as well!
In my free time, I love hiking and being outdoors, whether it is exploring forests, fields, or mountains. Over the past few years, I have been living by the Baltic Sea, and while I am not the best swimmer, I absolutely love being near water and I am always on the lookout for the next lake, river, or seaside to explore! Cooking is another hobby of mine, and I enjoy trying out new recipes and learning about local cuisines wherever I go.
I would describe myself as friendly and easygoing, with a strong work ethic. I enjoy working as part of a team but also appreciate time to myself to recharge and reflect. I am happy to take on a variety of tasks, from gardening and physical labor to cooking and household chores, and I am always willing to try something new.
