  • Description

    Hi there!

My name is Anna. I'm originally from the US, but have lived the past 7 years in Canada - spending most of my time in the coastal rainforests of British Columbia, and most recently in the Canadian Rockies in and around Banff and Jasper, Alberta. I work seasonally as an outdoor adventure travel guide, and in the off season love to travel and explore. I studied plant science and sustainable agriculture in University and am passionate about working with plants and animals. I can't wait to meet you!

I currently work seasonally for an international adventure travel company - leading groups of 10-30 guests on hike trips, bike trips, and other adventures! I am certified as a outdoor guide with the Interpretive Guides Association (IGA) of Canada and have lead hike and bike excursions throughout Canadian National Parks. I have a 40 hour Occupational First Aid certification, and have also worked with kids as an outdoor education teacher for the past 3 years.

I studied Sustainable Agriculture and Plant Science at the University of British Columbia, a global top 40 university. During my time in school I worked at several organic farms, working with goats, chickens, pigs and cows, and participating in the seeding, harvesting, and marketing process of seasonal vegetables, flowers and fruits. I also worked in a soil science research lab where we explored the connection between climate change and sustainable agriculture, working to discover ways to grow food more sustainably.

I'm passionate about working with animals and plants, and am an active and adventurous person who loves using my hands to help great causes!

  • What else ...

I love road biking and mountain biking and have basic bike mechanic knowledge after working as a bike guide for the year. Would be happy to practice these skills! In addition, I love to hike and camp and as a general rule, prefer a life that can be spent outdoors.

I am passionate about deep human connection, and love the opportunity to meet people of all kinds. I love yoga and meditation and am always wanting to deepen my connection to the world around me and the amazing humans, animals, and plants I am lucky to share this world with!

I am perhaps TOO competitive, and love game nights of any kind. Though be warned that sometimes Scrabble can go from being a fun game to being more intense than you ever thought possible!

I also love to cook and am excited about the opportunity to learn to cook new cuisines and try new food!
