Description
Hi!
I´m Anna, 19 years old and I just finished school in Germany.
I am a very fun-loving person and always do my best to make people laugh. I also love to do something creative (in any form, whether it's painting or DIY projects that spontaneously pop into my head). Besides, my father raised me to be a bookworm from an early age. I also got my love and devotion to nature from him, thus I have been an active scout in my hometown for almost 10 years now. That's why I love to go for walks, often taking time to think and reflect on everything. And even though I love being outside, I also enjoy sitting comfortably together at home, cooking something and playing games or watching a film. In general, I am a very empathetic person (according to my friends) who loves to meet new people and do something cool together. I would be very happy if I could take care of children and/or animals.
I fell in love with Ireland when I was just a little girl. My uncle got a scholarship at Trinity College Dublin and since then I was fascinated by the green island :) As by now I plan to take a gap year and start fulfilling my childhood dream by getting to know Ireland myself and to see every corner of your beautiful home country. I recently started learning Irish, but the pronunciation is quite tricky. Nonetheless, I am very motivated!
Have a lovely day!

Even though I was always quite good at English at school, it is still something completely different to be taught a language by a native speaker. I believe that you should never stop learning a language! English in particular has really excited me and I hope to pick up some "Irish English". It would be really great if I could pass on some of my mother tongue as well. A little Irish-German exchange :)Skills and knowledge I'd like to share or learn

I speak German (my mother tongue) and English (first foreign language). Unfortunately, I have mostly forgotten French again, but it should still be enough for a little conversation. I took my A-levels in English and had the language level C1 confirmed. I would also be happy to teach a bit of German if you are interested. I also played an instrument for years, so I have some experience in music. However, my favourite thing to do is to stand in the kitchen and whip up something delicious for the whole family (mostly vegetarian). At home, we have a very large plot of land, so I learned how to handle animals at an early age and helped out with growing vegetables. In my time as a scout, I had a lot to do with creative projects and with children, often both in combination. I like to be creative and try to teach children different techniques. In the scouts I also learned how to be responsible with our forests and the environment and how to live together with it in a respectful way.
