Description
Hey :)
I’m Anna-Lena, a 19-year-old girl from Styria, Austria. I’m currently studying at the University of Graz to become a teacher in Geography, English and Physical Education.
In general, I’d describe myself as a very social and open-minded person who loves meeting new people, learning from different cultures, and exploring new places.
I’ve already been around Europe quite a bit. For example, this year I went on an Interrail trip from Sweden all the way down to Portugal and joined several Erasmus projects focused on sustainability, inclusion, and sport. These experiences made me realize how much I enjoy working with people from different backgrounds, learning from them, and creating something together and the best part is having friends from all around the world.
Earlier this year, I also spent one month in Italy through Workaway, living with a lovely family near Naples and helping them with childcare and daily life. It was such a great experience that helped me improve my Italian and truly experience local culture.
I’m also quite an active and outdoorsy person. I work as a track-and-field coach for children aged 10 to 14, where I organize training sessions and youth camps. Coaching has taught me patience, responsibility, and how to motivate and support others. I’m also a long-distance runner myself and compete in local races for my athletics club.
Every summer, I volunteer at a children’s summer camps called “Ferienlagerfüxe” at Lake Attersee or Lake Achensee, where I look after kids aged 7 to 14 and help organize games, creative workshops, and outdoor activities, something I absolutely love and really look forward to every summer.
Besides that, I’ve been working in a family-owned restaurant for four years know, which has taught me a lot, especially how to stay positive and organized even on most hectic days!
I speak German (native), English (C1), and Italian (B2) so I understand most things quite well but would love to practice speaking more.
I’m happy to help with childcare, language learning, housework, pets, cooking (easy stuff) or gardening, basically wherever I can be useful and I’m also eager to learn new things.
That’s it about myself for now I think and I really look forward to spending an amazing time with you 😊

Work Experience:
I have been working in a local restaurant for the past two years now, which has taught me responsibility, time management, and teamwork. Additionally, I work as a track and field coach for children aged 10 to 14, focusing on teaching them teamwork, the joy of sports and helping them to believe in themselves.
Volunteering & Tutoring:
Every summer, I volunteer at a children's summer camp at Lake Attersee, working with kids aged 7 to 14. Those experiences have given me valuable skills in childcare, organization, and creativity. Furthermore, I provide English tutoring for students, which I really enjoy as it allows me to share my knowledge.
