    >> Interested in: Pet sitting / Animal care, permaculture/gardening, small DIY.

    Hello! Bonjour! Hola!

We are a married couple, Angélique and Nelson.
Angélique is from North-East France and Nelson is from a village in the mountains in Southern Colombia, South America. We have been living together in France for 4 years.

We are fascinated by the concept of volunteering, mutual exchange of knowledge/skills/experiences, learning about each other’s' cultures and nature.
We are very collaborative, simple, easygoing, honest, discreet, calm and respectful people.

We enjoy hiking in forest and in the mountains and being surrounded by nature.
We love being surrounded by animals and spending time with them. We have pets at home and we know what it is to give them love, affection and care.

Our latest experiences taught us more about gardening/planting/permaculture, furniture renovation, and animal care, where we pet sitted with mostly cats and dogs, but also goats and chickens.
We also had the opportunity to volunteer in an animal shelter, where we took care of 40 lovely cats and 13 lovely dogs.

We both love tending pets and gardening, working in the field outside.

    - Angélique is an ”animist”: she believes every life on Earth has a Soul and every life matters.
    - She's fascinated by Trees, Forests and people who used to connect fully with Mother Earth such as different indigenous tribes.
    - She did various volunteering for charities in France and abroad, including fair trade projects, animal cares and ecology projects.
    - She’s curious about alternative education (Montessori, Steiner, Summerhill, Sudbury, Forest school…),
    - She’s passionate about sound therapy and instruments like handpan, native American flute, wind chimes, Tibetan bowls…
    - She’s keen on art and photography (animals, landscapes).
    - She plays the guitar and sings from time to time and also enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking/walking, kayaking…
    - She’s fond of personal growth including spirituality, astrology, meditation, religions and qi gong.

Nelson is an online Spanish language teacher (his native language) and teach to people from all over the world.
    - He’s passionate about making people growth towards their goals and at the same time learning from each one of them.
    - He’s very curious and open-minded and loves to learn about everything. People and culture are the main wealth of the world, so he firmly believes that a small action will always make a difference.
    - He has lots of experience in farm with animals and in hospitality works.
He grew up in the countryside in a farm, where he spent his childhood learning about preserving our planet, planting trees, gardening, living in harmony and taking care of animals, feeding them, bathing them, healing them, cuddling them, playing with them...

    We're both handicraft artists.
Nelson paints mostly landscapes and animals on canvas with acrylic painting and Angélique makes handcrafts inspired from the Native American tribes and nature (dreamcatchers, jewellery..).

    We also enjoy travelling!
We travelled backpacking all around Latin America for a year in 2018 and 5 months around India, South-east Asia, Greece, Mauritius in 2022-2023.

We travel slow and we always try to stay with locals to learn more about their cultures and habits, we hitchhike too. Our goal is to learn and grow wiser. The last couple of years have been more of a "nomad life" as we are minimalist people too.

Being part of the Workaway community is for us the best way to share with people from all over the world, discover other cultures and countries, putting our skills into practice in order to help others with different tasks and projects, and keep learning and growing personally. It broadens our minds.

We believe every human being has something special and unique to bring to others and share with the world.
Looking for peace, connection with Mother Earth, sharing moments of joy.

  • What else ...

    > "Do what's valuable. Focus on getting good at something that genuinely helps others and make the world a better place. " By Benjamin Todd.

    > Legend of the hummingbird (from the Indigenous Americans):
