Description
Howdy! We are Beryl & Yanina! We are a couple and our passions include nature-based living, spiritual growth, and community-building. We have a vision to do our part in protecting the great wildlands of this planet and to help rewild those places that have been stripped and used instead of honored. We recently packed as much as we could fit in our car and moved across the country to British Columbia. We are looking to get involved with environmental activism and partake in local community projects/outreach. Since we are still quite new to the area, we thought it would be lovely to get to know the locals and the culture this way, working alongside them and getting to be hands-on with the environment right away, while we keep our eyes and ears open for more permanent arrangements if that is meant for us. We are open to a long-term work-stay with an aligned host and pay or local part-time work.
*Government names Andrea and Janine, as we have not legally changed them to Beryl and Yanina, yet* :)Interests

More details about your skills
Beryl: Raised in the Texas heat, I am an attentive helper and a quick learner with no problem sweating it out and putting my back into it. I am artistically proficient in singing, songwriting, guitar playing, poetry, and prose. I have also tutored and nannied students and children of all ages. I have worked in a wide-range of jobs from addiction recovery to martial arts; my favorite work being anything that lets me spend time with people and nature, because my heart is truly for deep relationship and healing modalities. I have attended and helped facilitate medicine ceremonies, yet I still feel I am in the beginnings of deepening my relationship with plant medicine. I am eager to learn. I intend on being a land steward one day, where I can open up a space to those who seek spiritual growth through community, nature, sound, and movement.
Yanina: Growing up in the countryside of Southern Ontario, I've been blessed with a life full of the outdoors while connecting to the land and the animals (cows, chickens, and a horse). I have a generational love for gardening from my Oma and Mom whether it's flowers, produce, anything...feeling a deep connection with the Earth where my spiritual journey ever-evolves. I love outdoor tasks, having a variety of experience in land maintenance and urban farm laborer jobs, as well as a knack for housekeeping. After my daycare experiences and growing up with 7 younger siblings, I'm passionate about creating an environment of curiosity & nature-based teachings that support children's unique authenticity, expressions, and sense of belonging in the world. I continue deepening in Shamanu: Being Earth Mentorship practices (Living Centre, ON), connecting deeper with the land and all we share this life with, Oneness with the Earth and Greater Cosmos. I became a life coach through the Kids Coaching Connection program and studied Social Justice and Peace & Indigenous Studies in school. I am a multi-passionate creator/artist.Age
