  • Description

    Hi!
I’m Ana, from the most beautiful city in the world , Seville, in southern Spain. I’m a 20-year-old student of Sociology and Political Science. I recently finished my Erasmus semester in Klagenfurt, Austria, and I can’t wait to live another experience abroad. I consider myself open-minded and eager to discover new people, places, and ideas.

I’d define myself as a professional learner. I’m curious, always excited to meet new people, acquire new skills, and share what I’ve learned along the way. I love cooking, playing sports, having deep conversations, and sharing humor and good vibes. Hiking is another passion of mine (even if I’m not the fastest hiker!). I’ve done the Camino de Santiago (Way of St. James) twice, along with other smaller trips.

I speak Spanish and English fluently. Right now, I’m learning German as a beginner, and I’d love the opportunity to practice it more.

In terms of volunteering, I’ve worked in a nursing home, Centro de Personas Mayores Fundomar-Sevilla, caring for the elderly. I am a volunteer in the spanish Red Cross, specialized in social inclusiveness activities. I also enjoy hands-on tasks at home (I’m quite handy when it comes to repairs and small reconstructions).

I’m especially interested in community-based projects. I believe true activism starts with a collective mindset. Society is not just a group of individuals in the same space, but a complex structure of overlapping forces and influences. With communication and collaboration, great projects, and real change, can happen.

I’d love to share my curiosity and energy with others. If you think my profile fits your project, feel free to reach out!

    Ana

More details about my language interests
I recently finished my Erasmus experience in Austria, where I studied German for the first time. I currently hold an A1 certificate, and I’m definitely motivated to keep learning the language. In the future, I’d like to continue my studies in Germany and, if possible, work there as well. Any opportunity to practice the language is more than welcome! On the other hand, Spanish is my native language, and I would be happy to teach it to others. A language exchange (tandem learning) would be the ideal situation, but I’m flexible and open to any arrangement.

  • More details about your skills

I have experience volunteering in a nursing home in my hometown, where I supported elderly residents by assisting with daily tasks and providing companionship. This taught me to be patient, attentive, and emotionally available to those in need. I also volunteer for the Spanish Red Cross. I have taken part in social campaigns addressing poverty and supporting people at risk of vulnerability. The biggest takeaway from this experience has been the reality check, learning from the diverse experiences of so many people. I have discovered not only the problems faced in society while trying to address them, but also the possible reasons behind them.

At home, I’ve always been the go-to person for cleaning, repairs, and small DIY projects. I genuinely enjoy hands-on work, whether it’s fixing something, organizing a space, or helping with physical tasks. I don’t mind getting my hands dirty, and I’m always curious to learn new practical skills.

Likewise, I consider myself a highly communicative and emotionally intelligent person. I’m not afraid of deeps or uncomfortable conversations if they lead to growth or understanding. I believe that openness and vulnerability are strengths, not weaknesses ...and I’m definitely not shy!
Above all, I’m persistent, adaptable, and always willing to step out of my comfort zone, especially if it helps the group move forward or creates a positive impact.

  • What else ...

I’m very interested in politics, anthropology, history, and art history, any kind of social science is definitely my go-to topic for deep conversations. I believe the best way to learn how to improve our world is by being aware of everyone’s situations and perspectives. And that can only happen through communication, always respectful and peaceful. I love a good debate!

I consider myself quite sporty , volleyball and hiking are my main physical hobbies. Recently, I’ve also started relearning traditional Andalusian dances, especially Sevillanas, a beautiful subgenre of Flamenco. I truly enjoy dancing, and I’d love to teach you if you're interested!
