Description

I am graduating university as a Speech and Language Therapist in July 2023 and then I am going to spend a year volunteering and travelling abroad. I believe the purpose of life is to share happiness and experiences with others. I love spending time with family and both new and old friends in nature, hiking in new locations and learning about different cultures. I feel inspired to travel to as many places I can, forming new connections, and learning from each other.

I decided to study speech and language therapy so that I can help people to communicate and have a voice, even if they are unable to physically speak. My motivation is to support others to reach their goals and happiness, and I believe I am flexible, patient and a good communicator. I have experience of working with both children and adults in a range of settings including healthcare, education, business and hospitality.
I am organised and I am always up to try new things.

I have been a volunteer for nearly 5 years for a mental health charity where I communicate with people experiencing a crisis. My main passion is supporting others and I try to get involved with different fundraising events when I can.

What else ...

I am excited to find my first workaway! I have heard so many good things and I would love to fully immerse myself into new opportunities. I am ready to meet new people, explore new places and learn new skills and cultures.

I have previously backpacked some of Europe, south east Asia, Australia and Central America, however I have never experienced living for a longer period of time in a new location and this is something I really want to do. I believe I will enjoy it as I have loved travelling for months at a time previously. I am flexible to new ways of living and I want to make the most out of everyday. I am active and have a lot of energy for life.
