I'm a psychologist who just quit his corporate job to catch a breath and explore life outside of the normative corporate style. I am a helper by nature, I love pursuing psychology, but before risking everything and diving into another career phase, I want do what I've been scared of. Which is to not be career-oriented for a while and explore new things in life.
The many stories I've read on Workaway and what my friends have told me inspired me to want to try it. So I am hoping to meet some of the lovely people here to experience and learn new things while I'm helping with any tasks you may need help with.
I'm from a small city in Iran called Semnan - a small sunny city in northern Iran at the foothills of Alborz mountains - where I grew up until I moved to Budapest for studies. And because my grandparents used to be farmers and bee-keepers I grew up experiencing living in the countryside, being around animals and sometimes accompanying family in the summers when we had to move the bee hives to new locations. Naturally, I have a love for working in a farm and getting my hands dirty with gardening or taking care of animals. But ever since I moved to Budapest, I've been pretty much living a stereotypical city life and my only connection to the feeling of having a garden has been my plants in my apartment.
I also enjoy cooking a lot, it has definitely carried me through the gloomy winters in Europe. Yes! I can do the Persian crispy rice or any other recipe you find online as long as we can find the ingredients. Even if I don't know how to cook it, I'm just one call away from the best cooks in my family who love to order me around during a video call cooking-sesh :)
Dancing is my go to idea of a fun night and I am far from shy when it comes to that. I'm always happy to show some Iranian dance moves and to encourage others to join in. So count on me for an evening of dance and telling you about the culture and history of Iran (not an expert, just an enthusiast).
I like learning languages (giving French a go at the moment) but I'm not so self-disciplined. I would say being in the environment and being pushed to talk definitely thrills me which is why I am looking for Workaway opportunities in France.
I'm not sure how to wrap up this description here, but my friends say I'm easily impressed, and I am actually fine with that because I think I see the joy in the little things.

When it comes to nursing and caring, I'm way more skilled because of my education. I've worked with kids, adults and elderly in different environments - from a clinic to kindergarten or school counselling. I've also done standup comedy and improv theatre for a few years, so I'm not a stranger to entertaining a crowd.Age
