Hi! I'm Alison from Canada :)
I have been traveling in Australia for the last year and have fallen in love with the experience. My favourite part of traveling is the cultural exchange, being able to learn about other cultures and sharing the most beautiful parts of my own culture. In my experience, what makes a trip special is the connections you make along the way.
I completed my TEFL certification and have been giving ESL lessons to adult B1 learners since then. I have also been working in Australia as a music teacher and Maths/Science/English tutor with students aged 3-16.
I am also very passionate about environmentalism and would love to work on my green thumb in an ecological project. I love the ocean and have obtained my diving certification in Queensland. I have also spent over a year working in Melbourne for an organic kombucha brewery and have learned plenty about reducing waste, healing properties of plants and foraging.
I love animals, having 3 dogs and 2 cats back home with my family. I also grew up playing sports, including ice hockey and football. I really enjoy working with kids and hope I can use some of my skills to connect with them.
I am really looking forward to having some new experiences and participating in a wonderful project! :)

If you are looking to teach but are not very experienced, this a is a great school because you are paired with a Khmer teacher. The teachers also prepare the lesson plans and worksheets/homework every day.
