Description

Hi, my name is Alice!

I am embarking on a journey to explore my ancestral roots in Sweden and the UK, with some other stops on the way. My home is in the Canadian Prairies. I am a musician, crafter, painter, gardener and life lover.

I have always felt the most at peace when I'm in nature, and I am always grateful to have time to live in rythm with the Earth's cycles.

I love to learn about traditional crafts, herbalism, gardening , cooking and DIY projects, and it is my goal to be able to grow my own food for those in my community.

This past year I graduated from the University of Manitoba with a degree in Fine Arts. After that I apprenticed on an organic vegetable farm, and this intersection between art and agriculture really interests me.
I also love to teach and run workshops about meditation, poetry and plants.

Besides this, I love to learn about cultures that are unfamiliar to me. I find that travel puts us in an amazing state of mind where we may simultaneously realise our individual capabilities, as well as our collective dependency and interconnectedness.

I have skills in gardening, carpentry, childcare, hospitality, tree planting, art projects and more.
I recently completed an apprenticeship on an organic vegetable farm, where I learned about growing herbs and vegetables, chicken care and more.

I also have years of experience from working at a family camp in a national park in Manitoba, where I developed many outdoor skills and gained experience with childcare and leading hikes.

Before that I graduated from the University of Manitoba with a degree of Fine Art.
