Hi !

My name is Alexia and I'm traveling full time since 2023. Traveling is my way to connect with people and with myself. Leaving Switzerland to start traveling and meeting amazing souls is the best decision I've ever made! I used to be a social worker,and I'm currently re-thinking my career choice. I love to learn from others and to spend quality time with them. I am a big fan of animals, and like to spend time with dogs and cats. I like adventures and artistic activities. I'm always excited to go for a hike, find a spot to eat with a view and see the sunrise/sunset with my friends.

As a social worker, I learned how to be very versatile. I worked with a lot of people, with a big variety of needs and issues. I know how to adapt in different context and I like to inform myself about them and about different topics. My job also require to have a lot of patience, empathy and to stay open minded.

I volunteer for two summers in Thailand and Romania. There, I spend my time with orphan children and with poor families. With a small team, we helped them cleaning their village, taking care of households chores and played with the children. I am a very creative person who like to discover new ways to do things and to keep work interesting :)

In my free time, I like to try a lot of different hobbies. I do some home made candles, pottery, paintings, home made dishes ... I like to take care of my plants and to redecorate my apartment. In summer, I do a lot of hiking. I am always down to go see a waterfall with my friends, to find a spot to eat with a view and to enjoy a sunrise and sunset with them. In winter, I put my skies to go ride the snowy mountains. Of course, more quiet moment are also very important to me. I like to chill with some music or in front of a good TV show.

During those last few months, I also helped a friend with her accommodation for dogs. I regularly go walked the dogs and spend quality time with them. I also gave some french class to immigrant people. To teach every week a class of 10 adults helped me to stay creative in order keep my lessons interesting and kept me busy inventing some sheets to make sure my students understood what I want them to learn.

I would love to meet new people ! I am always motivate to share some laughs around board games and a good food or to spend quality times hiking and yapping with a nice view :)
