Hello everyone.

I am Alex and I am originally from the North East of the UK in a place called Newcastle. I am a qualified Secondary School Teacher of Geography and have a love to meet new people and explore new cultures and experiences. I have been teaching for five years after finishing University and have been granted a year long career break to complete an around the world trip.

I am new to Work away but am keen to get 'stuck in' to any type of work and am a quick learner. I'm looking for new experiences from sharing cultural experiences/ language, working on farms, learning and helping with sustainability projects, working in hostels on bar/ socialising, and generally meeting interesting new people.

I have previous experience of working in a hostel as a 'Social butterfly' in Albania to where the trivia nights became a roaring success and the takings on the bar really too off.

I am a conscientious and honest person who is interested in sustainable travel through countries. Please ask any questions and I would be happy to converse and see if we can share a mutually beneficial experience!
