Hi! I am super excited about traveling and living communally for the next couple of years. One of my biggest motivators is definitely the fear of looking back on my life and feeling regret for the things I should've done. I want to experience as much as I possibly can, and participating in work exchanges is all I want to do in this stage of my life.
I feel happiness when I’m around warm, empathetic, driven, and accepting people. I love being active (even though sometimes I need a push) through swimming, skiing, going on walks, hiking, playing tennis, and more. I also enjoy doing puzzles, watching tv, reading, journaling, etc.
I was born and raised in Annapolis, Maryland and went to college in North Carolina. My family moved to Barcelona five and a half years ago so it's kind of home now too.
I just graduated in May of 2023 with honors and a bachelor's in Human Services (Social Work) and Leadership. I’m planning on getting my master's in Social Work in a few years.
Prior to undergrad, I took a gap year and volunteered with EF for 3 months and PMGY for 2 months. Through these organizations, I spent one month each in Thailand, Madrid, Costa Rica, and South Africa. I have volunteered on game reserves, on construction sites, through tutoring children during afterschool care, on elephant sanctuaries, through teaching English, through being an assistant teacher, and more.
I also took a gap semester with my cousin during college when Covid hit and we drove across the US together. We've been best friends our entire lives and having this experience with him was absolutely invaluable. We worked a ski season in Colorado and then a summer on a golf course on Lake Tahoe. I have been to over half of the states and traveled a lot of Europe as well. I am very comfortable traveling solo and joining experiences like these on my own.Interests

Professionally, I have worked in childcare, retirement communities, golf course maintenance, the fundraising/advancement field, and been a cook & chef in many restaurants. I've been told I'm very teachable and tend to go all in when learning a new skill or line of work. I work hard, am detail-oriented, and always want to get the job done efficiently.
Additionally, I spent three months (Aug-Nov 2023) living and working on a farm in Alaska throughout its peak harvesting season. I absolutely loved learning about what it takes to run a farm, live communally, work farmer's markets, and understand all the intricacies of each product we grow, eat, and sell. I really enjoy farm work and am eager to live/work on more farms in the future. I have also learned that I enjoy manual labor and getting my hands dirty, so I spent two weeks doing another exchange right after Alaska. I stayed in Washington through Workaway and helped with yard work and general house maintenance and loved it!!Age

What else ...
I'm a very laid-back, mindful, and responsible person looking to travel and immerse myself everywhere possible for a couple years. I'm fairly low maintenance and consider myself an extroverted introvert. I love playing card games, board games, and doing jigsaw puzzles. I’m an INFJ and Enneagram 2w3 if you’re into any of that.
I’m looking to learn more about the world and the people in it, visit new places, pick up new skills, meet as many wonderful people as I can, continue learning about myself, work on my Spanish, share amazing meals with others, challenge myself, and just be present. Some more information
