A bit about us:

We met whilst studying at Plymouth University (Ellie studied Geography and Marine Science and Adam studied Business) and went travelling after finishing our degrees. We also did a ski season in the French Alps together as chalets hosts.

We since bought a house in the Forest of Dean, and have been working full time as a Marine and Coastal Adviser (Ellie) and a Procurement and Project Manager (Adam) for a few years.

We knew there was more of the world we wanted to see which we didn't get to in pre-Covid times, and so decided to take a career break in Jan 2024 for 4 months (woohoo!).

Incorporating Workaways into our trip has been of big interest to us since we started our planning as we want to meet local people, learn about local culture and ways of life, learn new skills, and (hopefully) help people along the way. We hope we can connect with people who share out interests and passions in life and enrich each others experiences.

We are an outdoorsy, practical and enthusiastic couple who are keen to learn new skills during our Workaway experience and dedicate our time and positive attitude towards learning and contributing as much as possible.

We have professionally worked in a range of roles including:
- Hospitality, catering and cleaning (mainly Ellie) -
- Pool Lifeguarding (Ellie)
- Landscape gardening (Adam) - fencing, laying patio and general labouring tasks
- Fork lift driver (Adam)
- Chalet hosting as a couple - we ran a ski chalet for 11 people in the French Alps cooking, cleaning and looking after our guests.

And our other skills include:
- Cooking
- Cleaning
- Baking
- Looking after domestic pets (would love to learn more about farm animal care)
- Gardening (basic level but always looking to learn more)
- Chilli growing
- Basic DIY

We have lots of common sense, and a commitment and interest to developing our practical skills in gardening / DIY / landscaping / organic and sustainable farming / animal care / housekeeping / cooking. We are keen to make a difference and help you on your different projects.
