My next destination:
Peru - from Apr 2025 until Jun 2025 View allDescription
I'm a 20-year-old Finnish girl currently in Peru. Before the so far AMAZING trip in Central and South America, I was packing bread in a bakery after returning from a 6-month solo trip in Southeast and East Asia. Before that, I spent two years living in a Welsh international boarding school working for peace and a sustainable future - during those years I did a couple of Interrails to different parts of Europe. What back then drove me to apply to this educational program was my passion and curiosity for an international lifestyle, human connections, my thirst for adventure, and my values.
The same curiosity and passion are now directing my second year of traveling - some things never change;). I'm forever gratetul for the human connections and experiences I've gotten through my previous Workaway experiences (including farming, English tutoring, work at an animal shelter, hostel work, and currently a non-profit). I believe in the importance of meaningful work and a lifestyle even momentarily shared with open-minded people in international, value-based contexts.
As a Workawayer, I find it important to express gratitude by being diligent, flexible, trustworthy, and by open-mindedly seizing new opportunities together and engaging in various tasks to assist. I'm also very interested in language-learning! I practiced Spanish independently back home and I'm grateful I've now gotten to a conversational level.
In my free time, you'll see me writing prose in Finnish, meditating, reading, and studying Spanish, of course;).
I've now told a tiny bit about myself and I'm looking forward to the Workaway opportunities to come and new amazing people to meet;)!Interests

What else ...
I love goofy things! In my previous school, I was a leader of an outdoor activity group doing adventure sports trips and waking up at 6.36 am every Wednesday morning. I also organized “crazy tea parties” for which we once, for example, dressed up as animals while having tea and listening to animal sounds.
