Hi I am Yanouk!

I am a 22 year old who is currently in the process of trying to figure out the rest of my life.I would describe myself as a chatty, hardworking individual, although I am biased, who is most of all incredibly curious about the rest of the world!

Having just graduated university studying Politics I am trying to delay starting 'real life' as long possible, much to the annoyance of my parents who are very keen for me to find gainful employment. Put simply, my current focus is on travelling and seeing as much of the world as possible!

I am a strong believer that the best and most enriching way to travel is not to just visit a place but to live with local people. Often the most interesting and beautiful parts of people and culture are not in the big flashy monuments and touristy places but in small day to day habits of 'mundane' life. A dinner on a random Wednesday night at a local house is as (if not more) interesting, or possibly more rewarding and fun, as going round somewhere being a 'traditional tourist'. The opportunity to do this is one of the major reasons why I think workaday is amazing.

I've just come back from working teaching on a refugee camp for 3 months and am looking for my next adventure.

Apart from completing my university degree I've also worked in multiple jobs doing a range of roles from VIP catering, social media marketing, volunteering with children for multiple charities, pumpkin farming, event management and puppy photography. I include this to show that I'm willing to do any jobs and keen to experience as much as I can! I am currently completing a TEFL English language course so will be qualified to teach soon.
