Hello, fellow travelers and hosts!
We are Lea (26) and Laura (25), and we’re adventurous individuals who love to explore new places and cultures.
We have already traveled a lot before, including going on exchange years in the US/UK during high school, work and travel in New Zealand for half a year, Ghana, Indonesia, Vietnam, Cambodia and visiting a Language School in Spain. These experiences have given us a great appreciation for different cultures and ways of life, and we‘re excited to continue this journey through Workaway.
For the past 6 months Lea has travelled across Central America and now we will continue our adventures together. I (Laura) have just finished my Bachelors in philosophy and language and literature to become a teacher and Lea studied nursing. We are currently taking some time off to explore new places, cultures and alternative living concepts and communities.
We would probably describe ourselves as open minded, patient, compassionate, a good listener, curious, spontaneous, creative, humorous, adaptable, and eager to learn new things.
In our free time, we enjoy being in nature, photography, yoga, meditation, crochet, meeting friends, making music, cooking, flow arts, surfing (still learning, since I don’t live close to a beach)…

We already have some experience doing work aways in different fields, cooking, working in hostels, some construction and general maintenance tasks. At home both of us have worked with agencies that offer all different kinds of work (logistics, promotion, hospitality etc.), so we are used to new work environments, new tasks and new colleagues. We are reliant, responsible and are quick to pick up new things, and would be comfortable with all kinds of different types of work, as long as we’re explained what to do, we will be good to go.
Both of us have been working as waitresses for many years, so we really enjoy the friendly connections with customers, and can also work in a team and coordinate things if they get a bit more stressful.
I (Laura) have also worked as a chef at a vegan restaurant. Both of us really like (especially vegan) cooking and are very creative in the kitchen.
I (Lea) am a photographer, so I would love to take pictures to portray your business/project, if that’s something you‘re interested in.
