Hello, I’m Valentin, a Belgian traveler who's spent most of my adulthood exploring the world. I’m new to Workaway but have six years of experience on Helpx, where I worked on farms, with families, in restaurants, museums, and as a tourist guide.

After the COVID-19 pandemic, I paused my travels to work in high-end restaurants in Belgium. Alongside that, I’ve been involved in musical projects as a music producer. I love composing music, whether on the computer or with instruments like the guitar or keyboard. For over 11 years, I’ve been creating mostly electronic music, but my work spans various genres like RnB, trap, and Afrobeat, depending on the artists I collaborate with. I also work as a sound engineer, recording, mixing, and mastering tracks in the studio.

I travel and volunteer because I love immersing myself in the everyday lives of people around the world. I'm less interested in tourist hotspots and more intrigued by the local life in the places I visit. Volunteering offers me a glimpse into the real lives of people from different cultures. So far, my travels have mostly taken me around Europe, with some time spent in the Middle East.

I’m deeply curious about people, their beliefs, and their daily routines. I enjoy physical work and can help with cooking. While I don’t eat much meat, I’m comfortable preparing a variety of dishes based on what's available. Occasionally, I travel as a vagabond, hitchhiking or hopping freight trains for the adventure.

I’m a handyman with a variety of skills and no problem taking on physical work. I’m comfortable working on farms or doing other hands-on jobs. I’ve gained experience in different environments and am always ready to learn something new. I like getting things done and enjoy practical work.
