Hi, I’m Tilman, 22, from Germany. After finishing school (Abitur), I worked as a postman to earn some money to realize my dream of traveling through Europe - primarily Scandinavia - by motorbike.
I love hiking, geocaching, music, and spending time in various Christian youth groups.

This year is the second year for me living the workaway lifestyle. In 2024 I already traveled starting from Bavaria up to Molde in Norway. In 123 days from August till December I had 6 stays, mostly on farms.
Now I’m ready to start again towards north, to explore the magnificent landscape by motorbike and on foot. This time I plan to go all the way up to the north cape.
I’m looking forward to work on some farms again, living there for a while, learning more about the culture, meeting locals, …, mainly on the way back home to Germany.

I’m able to work independently and on my own, but prefer working together with others.
I like caring for animals and I’d love learning more about husbandry. Last year I had a lot of fun doing different tasks with a tractor and it would be great if I would have the opportunity again.

Usually, I learn quickly and I'm very interested in learning new skills, too.

I can do a lot of things if someone gives me a quick introduction.

I've already helped with many things on a farm, such as cleaning the horse, pigeon, chicken and goat stables, feeding cattle and horses, repairing fences, repairing tools, helping with the hay harvest and subsequent storage in the hayloft, driving stuff around with a car and trailer (I have a trailer license - BE), stacking wood, and much more.

I worked with tractors on diffrent tasks before, e.g. riding arena levelling with the "Kneilmann arena drag", hay bale collecting with the "Kemper Ballenautomat" wagon, mucking out paddocks with the "FARM-SERVANT® pro", digging out the dung heap, moving the hay feeders around, filling them up with big round bales, ...

I love to develop solutions for difficult problems (e.g. rescuing cats out of high trees). Just give me a problem to solve, some tools to work with, and maybe someone to share my thoughts with and eventually I'll find a way.

Often my family or friends ask me to help them with different things, for instance gardening, building something with wood, assembling furniture or repairing something. I also like cooking for them every now and then (if I can find a suitable recipe).

I'm quite skilled in technical things, so I can help people very often with their computers or phones. As I plan to get the education as event technician I already have some experience in working with microphones, speakers, mixing consoles and lights.

Many times I took responsibility in youth groups and in several of their camps as a team member, and I quite enjoy working together in a team.
