It makes me happy to see things grow, be it a tree, a family or a country. I want to help building a world where we all can grow on our own terms and do it in harmony with nature and society.
I grew up in a tiny farming village in the southeast of Austria. Both of my parents were raised on a farm so there was always something growing in the garden. My dad also showed me how to forage in the forest and how to cut trees for firewood.
When I turned 18 I moved to Vienna to attend university. It has now been more than 10 years of me living in cities all over the world and I feel like I need to go back to my roots and start growing my own garden somewhere in the countryside. I want to use workaway to learn more about sustainable agriculture and meet people that move on a similar path as I do.
