Im fortunate to have the opportunity to travel, and experience more of this stunningly beautiful world, what a fantastic place.
I’ve loved Australia since my first visit there over 30 years ago, then I bought an old EH Ute and travelled extensively for 6 months. My subsequent visits have been fascinating and fun, in June 2022, I completed a months Workaway in Narrabeen in NSW. My host was great and it was very satisfying to be able to help improve her home, deep cleaning and renovations and develop her permaculture garden. The following year I spent 3 weeks Workaway in NSW in the Hawkesbury river area, helping to renovate a property and remove invasive plants from the land. Lovely people and a beautiful place. From there I cycled up the coast to Brisbane and explored the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail and surrounds. Stunning.
I would relish the opportunity to become involved in any projects, big or small, to do with conservation, the environment, building/landscaping, renovations to your property/car/boat, whatever.
I am an animal lover, especially dogs. I am adaptable, capable, fit, healthy and adventurous. I have a relaxed and easy going nature, a good sense of humour and years of practical skills and experience, especially in building, refurbishments and general repairs.

My career in education has given me a wealth of experience in working with people of all ages and abilities, supporting them to achieve their ambitions and goals. I’m a good listener.

I enjoy cycling and hope to combine my Workaway experience with seeing as much of Australia as I can on two wheels.

A career working with young people in schools and colleges, teaching and providing academic and pastoral support.
Trained in safeguarding and possessing an Enhanced Criminal Records clearance, approving me to work with young or vulnerable individuals.
Extensive experience of building refurbishment, including decorating, woodworking, plumbing, minor gas installation and electrical repairs. I have a broad range of practical and mechanical skills. If something is broken I can usually find a fix for it.
I am very adaptable, proactive, enthusiastic and hardworking.
Easygoing, kind, good sense of humour.
I find a pleasure and purpose in being useful.
