Description
Hi, I’m a Nurse/Midwife from the UK, who has decided to take a six month career break to travel with my family; Will, my husband (who is a lawyer but enjoys DIY and outdoors amd has in his 20a and 30s spent time working on a farm as a labourer and construction sites- however he has no qualifications or expertise in these areas); Effie who is 7years old and Nia who is 3. I love immersing myself in new countries and cultures and want my children to see the world whilst they are young- to hopefully help mould their characters and future plans. So we are in the middle of a 6 month world schooling adventure. We love to be outdoors, try new foods and meet new people and animals! We previously lived and worked in healthcare overseas in Zambia and Sierra Leone for over 4 years and have travelled independently lots- but this is the first time backpacking as a family and we are loving it! We are keen to learn about cambodian families and meet people to help us and our kids understand more about people from other places and the similarities we have.

More details about your skills
I have a Masters of Nursing Science, a diploma in Midwifery and tropical medicine and 20 years of experience in healthcare. During a four year contract in Zambia I worked as a Nurse tutor and taught in the classroom and out on the hospital wards. As well as the roles needed to project manage and submit supporting documents. We were also involved in lobbying at government level for changes in the healthcare sector. Will is a criminal defence lawyer but has enjoyed many physical jobs in the past and is a keen long distance rubber. Outside of our professional lives we like to run, read, cook and learn new things- so would be willing to be involved with many things. I am positive, energetic and love meeting new people. We are very family focused and we hope our kids are usually well behaved and enjoy a challenge!

What else ...
We are both hardworking and keen to meet people and learn more about cambodian culture and if we can do this while working to help with a project that would be great.
