Hii, my name is Sunny!

I am passionate about painting, cooking, listening to music, watching documentary's, spending time in nature and spending time with amazing people that I meet along the way! It brings me joy to go out on new adventures and experience new things. I have over 8 years experience working in hospitality. Last year has been quite intense school wise. But now I have 10 weeks off, so I am moore than exited to fill it with lovely new experiences. My friends would describe me as the sunshine in the group. I am open to learning new skills and am curious about different way's of living and permaculture. I must say before I have travelled solo for over a year and did loads of different jobs but never tried workaway until now! So I am very curious and exited.

I have over 6 years experience in several restaurants. Behind the bar, in the service and in the kitchen. I am passionate about making cocktails and experimenting in the kitchen. I worked as a private cook in Newman, Western Australia.
When I was travelling in Vietnam, I used to teach English to children aged from 3 to 18. I have experience working in two different farms in Australia, one cattle farm and one potato harvest farm.
Usually I am a quite handy person and pick up on new things pretty quickly. My dad taught me how to sail.

What a beautiful enriching and connecting experience. I stayed for about 3 weeks at Mike's place in July. It was my first Workaway so I didn't really know what do expect and wauw it really surpassed any expectation I couldve had.
From the moment everybody picked me up together I felt comfortable. We were in total with a group of about 10 people.… read more And we had such nice adventures together.
The place is on a little mountain, Mike build everything himself. He is a real interesting man full of jokes and stories that takes really good care of the people there. I think he loves cake but you should ask him when you're there.
What I like about the way Mike lives is that you can all do everything together. Almost every day you go swimming, you can cook together if you feel like it, you get drinking water from the fountain together, you go to the river or lake or somewhere you can swim together. And if you feel like doing more on your own its fine aswell. I just really enjoyed doing all of it together. You realize it is nice to spend a day like this and you dont need to be so busy like at home where you sometimes do a lot in one day. I liked the simple life because you dont feel any stress about what you have to do and you just let go of the time and even the days!! Eventually the simple life is the best life. The people who were there at the time were really kind, loving and interesting people. All different backgrounds, different stories and thats what makes it interesting. We all shared good laughs, played games, made music or art and went on supercool adventures! There's other people and community's around the area aswell so a lot of times you go somewhere you'll meet other people and there is also some activities every week where people from other community's come together. Like markets or movie night or dancing.

The experience showed me to have more patience, to let some things go, focus more on what is truly important, to be vulnerable, to be less individualistic and how to share. And for that I will forever be grateful to you Mike, for allowing me to pass by your beautiful place!!;) You and everybody there at the time all have a little place in my heart.

Anyway had loaaaaads of fun and who knows maybe in the future we'll all see each other again! Also shoutout to Bombas. Greets to Mario. Ciaaaaaooooooooo xxx much love and give Macy a big hug from me
