Description
Hi! My name is Summer and I’m currently 21 years old. I was born in the US, grew up in Taiwan. Moved back to the US at 13 to study at school. Having 2 nationalities makes me feel fascinated about learning cultures, and having my first Workaway experience in Hawaii, a very diversed place, then living there for 8 months has truly opened my eyes about how traveling can change a person.
Travelling the world has been a big part of my life as I’ve been to the Philippines, Thailand, Mexico, Japan, all the major Hawaiian islands, and the US. It has made me become super adaptable and flexible. I have a strong desire to see every part of the world with my own eyes and absorb myself in the beauties of this earth with each precious moment.
My hobbies: I have been meditating for the the past 3 years, it’s a never- ending spiritual/ personal growth journey for me. Also surfing, swimming, reading, dancing, hiking, freediving, kitesurfing. There isn’t one sport I don’t like. I’m a nature person who isn’t afraid of dirt and I’m super outdoorsy.
I would be gladly to help with whatever that’s needed as my purpose in this life is to help the world, wether it’s planning the planet, animals etc… I love bringing service to others as I think it’s important to not only receive, but giving back however you can is crucial in being a human and can bring you fulfillment.

Summer: I grew up in Taiwan and moved to the US when I was 13, so I’m fluent in both Chinese and English. Ever since I was a child, I’ve known the importance of work hard, and I’m passionate about almost anything. I have done much work as a teenager, including helping my family construct our house, moving bricks, lots of cleaning, mowing the lawn, volunteering I also worked as a waitress for 5 years, worked at homedepot and old navy for half a year. In school, I did flags for 2 years with the marching band and swim team for a year. Furthermore, I have done working holidays for one month on an island called Lanyu, off the cost of Taiwan, and 2 weeks at a surf shop in Taitung, Taiwan. I have a big belief that I can do anything, because I like fulfilling my life with challenges and beautiful stories. With every experience, not only does it help me grow, it also helps me understand the world a bit better.

Summer: I’m obsessed with the ocean so I love absolutely anything sea-related, including Freediving, surfing, wakeboarding, or just swimming while enjoying the oceans presence. I am a nature girl so I also like hiking, working out , doing yoga, Mediating.
I also like cooking, playing music, singing, going anywhere. There’s not a thing in this world that I don’t like. I’m very conscious of every action I take because I love the earth and animals.
Susannah: I love always being on the move and doing something with other people. Although schedules don’t always agree with me, and I do enjoy relaxation, the feeling of having one thing planned after the other fills me with so much joy. I’m a big joker, dancer, singer, and tomboy but know how to reserve myself and be respectful, kind, and polite when necessary.
I also enjoy more things like outdoor sports, motorcycles, city life, hiking, listening to music, and exploring.
