Hello!
My name is Sophie, I am 19 years old and I was growing up in a small town in the south of Germany, right next to the Alps. I just passed my A-levels this summer and I'm doing a gap year before university starts. I have always dreamed of traveling the world to learn more about different cultures and languages, meet new people and expand my horizons. And now I've been in it for five months. I have traveled through Peru, Bolivia and Chile and am currently in New Zealand. I really like spending time with all kind of animals. Back home in Germany I have got an australian shepherd with whom I do dog sports. I also like horseback riding (especially in the back country), skiing, baking, hiking, canoeing, photography, snorkeling...and pretty much everything what is fun to do :)
I am highly motivated to learn new skills, explore new places and meet new people.

I really like taking care of children. I have completed several social internships (in a children's hospital, in a primary school and in a kindergarten/Montessori school (Erasmus scholarship in Dublin).
In addition, I have an old Vespa at home, which my father and I have restored together. My knowledge of mechanics is still very expandible, but I like to learn new skills and I am technically very interested.
I also like to cook and bake and take care for animals. I have been riding a horse for many years and had a riding participation from the age of 13 to 17. I completed an internship with a small veterinarian which I really enjoyed.
I have worked in a bakery during the holidays. There I was able to prove my sense of responsibility and my reliability.
When I was sixteen I spent a Highschool year abroad in Canada. I’m pretty much fluent in English and I can speak beside my mother language German a bit of French.
Also I have got a German driver license for cars.
