Description
Hi! My name is Sofia, I'm 26, from the Azores, one of the two Portuguese archipelagos, and I spent far too much money in Lisbon's Book Fair in 2021 (worse habits to have, though. And no... I haven't read them all yet. The list of "unread books" only grows).
In October of 2022, I finished my first workaway experience: 4 months spent working in a guesthouse in a tiny village in the French mountains. I had a fantastic time there, and then went to a tiny village in the Italian mountains (yes, becoming a bit of a habit) at the beginning of 2023, which was also an incredible experience.
Since I was a kid, I've loved movies, which led me to move to England in September of 2015, to study Cinema & TV Production there.
The two things I'm certain to spend time of my day doing are reading (a bit of everything, though my interest for non-fiction has only grown) and listening to music. Me and my brother have a competition going on for who spends the longest with Spotify turned on during the year (I won last year, wohoo).
I also like cooking, always looking for new vegetarian/vegan recipes (I do eat meat/fish, just not often), especially when I can share them with friends and/or family. I also love travelling and have lost count how many times I got into a plane in 2022 (20? 25?).Interests

When I was 18, I moved from Portugal to England to do my Bachelors degree in Cinema. That definitely helped me become more indepent, not to mention get my English level at a pretty high level (I've been a translation volunteer from English to Portuguese for a website for around three years and once a week I give an English class to a friend). I'm an intermediate speaker of French, German and I started learning Italian some months ago. I can cook, clean, use the internet and Word. I've worked as a camera operator in a TV studio and, through workaway, in a guesthouse - taking care of breakfast and cleaning the rooms/bedrooms - and in a shop/restaurant - cleaning. I can also cook.

What else ...
Last year I started a list of books to read: 1 per country (and then some regions, because I realized independency of countries isn't that black and white). My favourites so far have been Iraj Pezeshkzad's "My Uncle Napoleon" (Iran) and Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie's "Purple Hibiscus" (Nigeria). I love soundtracks and the audiobook for "Lord of the Rings" is one of the best things I've ever found.
