Description
Hi! I'm Siri, 19 years old and from Germany! :)
I graduated from high school in May and I'm currently taking a gap year to get to know not only myself but also the world a bit better. I want to broaden my horizons through cultural and linguistic exchange and meet and connect with many different people before continuing to study.
For my stays I'm looking for places where I can live and eat in exchange of working.
I'd prefer a place with open-minded, friendly people and a sense of family among them. In addition to working and completing assigned tasks, I want to share experiences and unforgettable moments and spend as much time as possible exploring and learning.
I do have almost 12 years of experience with horses and farm life, but you can read more about that if you scroll down. :)Interests

More details about your skills
I started to take riding lessons at the age of six and never stopped being around horses since, so I was able to gain a lot of experience about horses, riding and animal care as well as about different (physical) work activities which need to be done on a farm. Even tho I quit riding in Feburary, after it had been my hobby for 12 years, I still had a mini-job on a local ranch (cleaning the stables, feeding + watering the horses, ...) before I left for my gap year.
I surely know how much work animals can be, but I enjoy taking care of them and seeing them live healthy and happy is simply the best price for hard work. :)
Working outside in the different seasons isn't a problem for me and I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty. Moreover I'm motivated and ambitious to get my work done well.
It's important to me to be a reliable, responsible and flexible working partner and I appreciate a good communication with others. I'm polite, patient and friendly because these are the behaviors I hope for from every person. Curiosity and willingness to learn are always within me.
So far during my year abroad I have also been able to gain experience with house keeping, catering and dog + house sitting.
Basic chores like cleaning, doing the laundry and general maintenance are part of everyday life and I'm totally okay with doing these tasks.
Despite being an animal lover, I adore nature very much as well. Especially forests have my heart and I'm always eager to learn more facts about mother nature. I do have a little bit of experience with gardening but it's expandable.
If you have tasks for me that require creativity, I'm always in! Art and music play a big role in my life.
If time permits I'm very much willing to do charity work particularly regarding sustainability, nature conservation and social justice.
All in all I enjoy being helpful by doing all kinds of tasks. :)
I'm excited to meet and connect with new people, learn their point of views and reflect on everything I've learned so far.Age
