Description
We are two friends who are going packpacking to South America for about three months and would like to get an authentic and local experience. We both really enjoy getting new experiences and meeting new people while volunteering. We have been active volunteers at an International NGO called YFU, which organises cultural and educational exchanges for high school students, for over 5 years. We are finishing our bachelor studies at University of Tartu in January and wish to see the world, connect with new people and learn new things. We are open to helping with different activities. We are very responsible, sociable and hard-working people.
We are both fluent in English. Nele already speaks Spanish and French, but I am currently studying Spanish to practice it as much as possible while there.

We have been active volunteers at an NGO called YFU which organises educational exchange programs for high school students. This has given us many experiences with planning and organising events and communicating with people from different countries. Thanks to this we are good at time management, teamwork and teaching.
Previously, I have worked at a restaurant, Tourist Information centre and at a clothes store. This autumn I did an internship at Estonian Human Rights Centre, because I am currently finishing my university studies in International Relations at Univeristy of Tartu.
Nele has worked at diffenrent restaurants and pubs. She has also been a financial assistant at an Estonian Start-Up. She is finishing her studies in Biology and Biological Conservation at University of Tartu.
Regarding practical skills I have renovated my apartement (painting walls, putting together furniture etc) and I am quite good at arts & crafts such as crocheting and knitting. We can both use the brush and enjoy drawing and painting, but are not the best at creating our own realistic pieces.
We are both used to and enjoy being around animals. I grew up with a dog and a cat and Nele grew up with twi cats. Currently, we have a cat calld Bongo who we adopted from an animal shelter. So, working around or with animals would only be a bonus for us!

What else ...
We are new to Workaway but would really like to get to know the people here and around the world! Since we are university students our budget is quite tight which means that volunteering is a great opportunity for us.
