  • Description

    We are Simon and Joke.
We are currently on journey in the direction of India.
We decided to only travel with a rather small backpack and to just take as many things with us as we actually need. Sometimes that turns out to be a bit challenging. But it is also a big relief to know exactly what we have with us and not having to choose what to wear :)

We are really curious how people around the world do things differently and wo hope that we can learn a lot by helping out with various projects along the way.
And we hope that we can get to know new people and the local life.

  • More details about your skills

    Simon:
The last three years I have made a carpentry apprenticeship in the south of Germany and finished it successfully. I learned a lot about wood and building furniture. Of course we used all kinds of power tools and learned how to handle them.
Working in the carpentry workshop has taught me to find solutions to problems independently and to work in a team as well as by myself.
I am always open to learning new techniques and ways of doing things and look forward to working with new people.

    Joke:
The last three years I did my bachelor in psychology including a three month internship at a paediatric clinic.
I really enjoy spending time with people, especially children.
I have had several babysitting jobs and did an internship in a Norwegian kindergarten.
After graduating from high school during Corona I looked after many children and teenagers in homeschooling.
In addition to school and my studies, I am always looking for creative projects such as knitting or building a raised bed. I have experience working with wood, experience in gardening and love to tackle and complete projects.
