Hello,

My name is Simon. I'm 35 years old and from Sydney, Australia.

In November 2024, I moved to Italy to begin a new chapter in my life. I’ve spent over 15 years working in the health sector, taking on various roles in mental health and sexual health. I’ve always been passionate about providing empathetic care and consider it a real privilege to support people through challenging times. However, I’ve now recognised that it’s time to focus on my own personal growth and journey.

Moving abroad, especially to Italy, has been a long-time dream of mine. I’m eager to build a life beyond the comfort I have in Australia. I have a deep passion for food, human connection, animals and nature. The idea of sharing my skills while learning new ones excites me. I’m also incredibly curious and excited to immerse myself in Italian culture and language while reconnecting with my family roots.

In my free time, I love relaxing in nature, swimming in the ocean, hiking, socialising, cooking and sharing food with others and spending time with my dog Fuji.

Animal Care
I have lived with domestic animals for most of my life and currently have a 7-year-old whippet. I have pet-sat (dogs, cats and chickens) for people while they were on vacation, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for the animals. I take animal welfare and well-being very seriously.

Domestic Work
I am a very organised and tidy person. I have experience in various domestic tasks including cleaning, organising, decluttering, cooking and caring for adults with intellectual disabilities. I previously worked on my partner's azienda agricola, where I did thorough cleaning, set up a new studio space and handled other basic home maintenance tasks.

Garden Hand
I have basic experience working as a garden hand at my partner's azienda agricola. I was given simple tasks with instructions and was able to complete them well. These tasks included general clean-up, seeding, weeding, harvesting, collecting wood, pruning and compost management.

Hospitality
I have experience shopping for groceries and cooking for others. I also enjoy creating a welcoming environment, whether it's hosting guests in my home or supporting friends by helping them cook or prepare for social gatherings.

Communication
I have excellent communication skills and genuinely enjoy connecting with people. This has been an essential aspect of my career as well as in navigating life and building solid, sustainable relationships with others.

What else ...

I’m interested in developing my skills in agricultural practices. I’m fascinated by organic and biodynamic methods, though I haven’t yet had the chance to fully immerse myself in them. I’m also a lover of good vino and would welcome the opportunity to explore this further whether in a hospitality setting or directly on a vineyard.

I’m always up for a chat but equally respect both my own and others’ need for rest and relaxation.
