We currently have found enough hosts for our trip. If you read this, we hope that you will find some travelers!

We are Michelle (29) and Servaas (29) and we are traveling in our campervan on a journey to the Nordic countries. After some holidaying, we are looking for a way to slow down our travels. So that we have more time in one location to get to know the local cultures.
We both quit our jobs to start this year long break. (Servaas has got an arraignment with his school that he may come back and continue teaching.) We always asks ourselves what it would be like to live and work abroad. In this year we have already seen alot of Europe and now is the time to slow down and stay in one place for some weeks/months. So that we can experience what life in the Nordic countries is like.
We have been together for 13 years and are finally making the trip that we have been talking about since our teens.

At home, we are a physics high school teacher and science communicator. But, we also built part of our own home, maintain our garden and take care of our cat, We are handy in general, so our skills include the following:
- Practical work around the house, from painting and woodwork to electrical jobs. We are not expert builders, but can get a lot of things done!
- Gardening
- Caring for animals, although we've never worked on a farm before.
- Writing/editing in English or Dutch, for example for websites and socials.
- Anything science-y and (astro)photography :)
- We'd like to learn new things as well!

What else ...
As a couple, we love being outdoors. Pretty much every day, we go for a hike, swim or cycling. And learning to ski and ice skate now that we are in the North! Michelle loves to sew and started as many crafts as she could fit into the van. Servaas likes tinkering with electronics and photography.
Since we have our van with us, we have our own place to stay. So far it's been comfortable until -10C. For longer stays, we do need electricity and the possibility to get diesel for our heater though.
