Description
I was born in England but travelled to Australia in my 20s and only returned to the UK from that adventure a couple of years ago. I have also lived and worked in: Japan, Papua New Guinea, Singapore and Thailand so I am very adaptable. As a home owner, I am experienced in routine maintenance and gardening while in my working life I was a teacher and have loved teaching English to people of all ages and language backgrounds. I taught myself Italian and had some wonderful Workaway experiences in Italy a few years ago. I am in my 60s but still fit, healthy and active and I would like an opportunity to share daily life in Italy with others, use my Italian, learn more of the of the Italian culture and have fun. I enjoy fresh air and doing things. I would love to meet you, help you out and have an opportunity to see the world through your eyes.

Professionally speaking I have been an English teacher. On a personal level I am a home owner, mother and grandmother and in the past have owned various pets too. During my life I have done house painting and decorating; furniture renovation; landscaping and pruning; childcare and petcare; teaching and learning; needlework and stained glass work; computing and writing; cooking and cleaning etc. I am happy to try my hand at anything else you wish to give me too.

I am an adaptable and independent mature age woman still seeking to discover new places, understand different ways of life and cultures and wanting to meet and mix with people of all ages. I love travel and have lived and worked overseas a number of times in my life. I love to find out about another country by living as a local rather than travelling as a tourist. I taught myself Italian a few years ago but then slipped out of making the effort to use it and now I would like to resurrect it in a real life situation. I have used Workaway in the past and had wonderful volunteering and cultural experiences as a result, so I hope to do more in the year ahead.
