Description
Hi there!
My name is Selma and I am an adventorous, curious, and happy 21-year-old girl from Denmark.
Right now, I am on my second sabbatcal. Last year I went to New Zealand for 6 months where I worked at a dairy farm during calving season, where I helped out with three kids (ages 3, 6, and 9), gardening, general maintenance, and of course the sweet calves.
This year I have mostly been working back home in Denmark at a kindergarten, but I am now getting a lot of travel jitters, so I am looking to leave for a journey through Europe starting January:)
I've found that working while travelling and exploring can give a better and more local indsight to a culture or a different way of living, which I love because travelling, for me, is about learning and gaining new knowlegde.
I also find that workaway is a great opportunity to meet new people and get to go to places I usually would'nt be able to.
I love to work with my body and my hands (nothing beats the tired feeling in the body after a hard days work) and I love to get challenged, fysically, mentally, or simply with new things I haven't tried yet.

More details about your skills
I have had a lot of different expirences in different workfields and, have therefore collected loads of different skills.
While I was studying I worked as a florist/clerk for a year, a seasonal worker at a habour café over a summer, and a waitress for 2 years where I also did jobs as a runner, event waitressing (weddings, funerals, birthdays etc.), and occational manager of the waiting staff.
After I gratuated I went to New Zealand and worked as a seasonal worker at a dairy farm where I helped taking care of the new calves. Here I also helped with the kids in my host family and other odd jobs like gardening, cleaning, general house maintenance, etc.
This past year I have been working at a kindergarten with kids at ages from 1 to 6 years.
On my travels and journeys I have used workaway or other platforms and have, via them, gained new skills like gardening, basic housetasks, farming, substaineble living, and aggriculture.Age

The other voulenteers were so nice and we had such a good time hanging out together. The hostel is also locate very nicely so it was easy to go out and explore the city when we got off.
