Description
Hey!
We are Kenneth and Saskia, a Costa Rican–Dutch couple who met in the beautiful Caribbean. Currently, we are both on a journey to explore the world while offering our time, energy, and knowledge in service of communities.
We love traveling slowly, taking the time to truly get to know a place and its people, and volunteering wherever we go. Nature is an overwhelming power for us. At the same time, we believe people reflect the best of what humanity can be. That's why we are always looking for meaningful experiences that teach us, connect us, and help us find ourselves through others.
We have over a year of experience volunteering in various roles. We love spending time outdoors and working with nature. We’ve done several Workaways where we helped in gardens, with composting, painting, and caring for animals. That is something we both genuinely enjoy.
We also have experience working in hostels, where we supported reception, administration, cleaning, cooking, and even translating tours. In addition, we have stayed with local families and helped out by playing with the children, preparing meals, and teaching languages or school subjects.

More details about your skills
We have strong social skills as long as we are professionals in political science and social work. In that way, we can develop different activities from activism to teaching.
Also, we have experience working in hostels; we managed reception, helped with daily duties, gardening, tour guiding, making ambiance, assisting in the restaurant, social media. We have done long terms pet-sitting and house-sitting; as well, helped in farms and gardens.
Finally, we can cook, Saskia can sing, and Kenneth takes pictures.

What else ...
We are people who loves nature, so we appreciate to spend time around mountains or playing with the sea. However, we usually look for cities that are full of history and culture. We love music. Saskia sings nice and Kenneth likes more to listen. We like board games and usually travel with some small and fun ones. We love reading and Kenneth likes photography. We delight in going for walks, talking to people, and discovering interesting places.

We enjoyed their positivity and were glad about their flexibility.
As Juan and me had got good job offers last minute we weren't able to work together a lot at home. It was a pity ,but Saskia and Kenneth worked independently which we appreciated a lot. I think we made the best of the situation.
