  • Description

I'm a sociology student. I'm particularly motivated by the desire to learn new things and discover more about the world around me. I'm looking to volunteer via workaway because I feel more and more the need to slow down and give meaning back to my practices and my diet. I'm particularly interested in practices that tend towards self-sufficiency (but I'm just starting out, I don't know much about it yet!). I really want to meet new people and be immersed in their practices, daily lives and vision of the world so that I can learn from them.

More details about my language interests
I've been learning German since I was 6 and English since I was 13. Unfortunately, I don't speak these two languages very well and I'd like to improve. If you speak English or German, it would be a pleasure for me to practise simply by talking with you. And if you'd like to learn French, it's my mother tongue and I'd love to help you practise it if you're interested.

  • More details about your skills

I spent my childhood on my best friend's parents' organic farm. As a result, I'm familiar with the amount of work and pace of life involved in living on an organic farm, even though I have a lot to learn about the practices themselves. I'm really excited about the opportunity to return to this kind of environment, which has given me so much, as well as the idea of learning new things.

My parents had a vegetable garden that I helped to maintain and I volunteered in a collective vegetable garden for a summer in an intercultural community in France. I particularly enjoyed that experience and would love to continue learning about gardening.

I was also part of a group of students doing projects around fermentation. I learnt how to make kombucha, kefir, sourdough bread, lacto-fermentation and viili. I still have a lot to learn, but I really enjoy sharing my knowledge of fermentation with others!
