Description
Hello, I'm Sarah, an 18-year-old, and I'll be starting a six-month journey in New Zealand from January 1st. My main aim is to experience Kiwi life, culture, and connect with the local people while improving my English skills.
During my stay, I'm open to a range of experiences. I can see myself assisting a family with tasks like cooking or looking after children. Farm work or pitching in on various projects also sounds appealing to me.
I come with some practical experience as I've worked full-time in a café in Munich and have served at the Tollwood Festival. I've also had babysitting experience.
I recently graduated high school and I'm eagerly anticipating what lies ahead in New Zealand.
Let me tell you about the stuff I'm really into. First, I absolutely love cooking, especially Asian and Italian dishes. I rarely use recipes because it's a real thrill when I whip up something tasty without a plan.
I'm big into culture too. Music-wise, I'm a fan of classic bands like Queen, The Cranberries, and U2, and I also groove to some German music. Recently I have been really into arts, so I discovered the museums in Munich.
I’m also interested in languages and geography. I enjoy learning about different cultures and exploring our planet.
Besides all that, I love trying out new cafes and restaurants with friends. It's such a great way to bond and enjoy good food. I also do really enjoy nature, so I discovered hiking.
This summer, I had a blast in Ireland and went on a road trip through Southern Europe with my pals. Traveling is where I really find my groove, discovering new places, cultures, and experiences. It's the best.Interests

Getting ready for my Work and Travel adventure, my journey has been a hands-on mix showcasing adaptability and a practical approach.
I kicked things off by babysitting for neighbors and family friends. It wasn't just about keeping an eye on kids; it was about building connections and finding joy in the small moments.
Later, in the heart of Munich, I dove into the coffee scene, dishing out warmth and smiles. Mastering lattes, perfecting the art of making customers feel at home, and becoming quite adept at multitasking. From handling customer service to refining barista skills and contributing to food prep, it was a lively scene that demanded efficiency while keeping the vibe friendly.
Prior to my New Zealand adventure, I committed to a full-time position in a French Boulangerie, expanding my skill set and instilling a strong work ethic.
I also jumped into the food festival scene as an ice cream vendor at a vegan and healthy ice place, managing transactions with a smile. With adaptability, effective communication, and a straightforward approach, I'm all set to tackle new challenges during my upcoming Work and Travel :)Age
