Hello!
My name is Sarah, a German teacher who sometimes needs to get out and explore the world and other cultures as long as I can. When I travel, I love doing outdoor activities, like hiking, snorkeling or cultural trips to ancient sites or museums. I always found that staying with locals or even working with them is the most you get out of a travel experience though. I haven´t volunteered in some time but are willig to get back into new adventures in 2025! I travelled
In the past, I volunteered and worked in hostels, restaurants (basically 10+ years experience in service), and in Costa Rica I stayed in a wildlife rescue center for two months. I love taking care of animals, but living in a city doesn´t give me many opportunities to do so.

In my freetime, I have been dancing Salsa and Bachata for around 7 years by now, and can teach you some if you like! I also enjoy handcrafts and arts, been painting for some time and recently, I got into pottery and go to our local pottery space twice a month.

As a volunteer, I can also help you to improve your English or German; my job is being a German teacher for migrants, so we´ll boost your skills in no time. I also hold a B1 - B2 Spanish, so we can have conversations but don´t expect me to be good at grammar.
I am willing to do most to all kind of other tasks too as long as I am physically able to. I can help cooking, cleaning, painting, light handy work etc., I really don´t mind getting my hands dirty! I am looking for experiences that I wouldn´t usually make back home, so I am excited to help with everything.

So far, I traveled around all Western Europe, a few Latin American countries and stayed in the US for about 6 months (MA / RI). My biggest dream is experiencing wilderness one day, and going to Japan.
