Hi everyone

We are Sam (26) and Ciska (25) from Belgium. We met eachother 6 years ago during our studies and graduated together in 2021 as agricultural engineers (which was very theoretical). Now we are both working as teachers in secondary schools. We've grown very passionate and interested by nature and sustainable agriculture. We keep fueling one another more and more by reading and gardening together, thinking about alternatives for the way we feed ourselves. Ciska even worked some months on an ecological farm. Being out in the open brings us lots of pleasure and peace. We are looking to expand our horizons further, working in nature and are eager to learn a lot from people from other cultures.

Further, we both really like working with young people and have been volunteering in youth movements for some years. We love the innocence kids still posess which is a beautiful value.

We want to be part of a transition towards a better society where people are treated more equally and nature is valued properly. We search for projects that put these believes into practice, whether small or big.

More details about my language interests
Sam has had an erasmus exchange in Spain where he learned basic Spanish. Ciska is also learning at the moment. We both like to improve our Spanish drastically.

We have a lot of theoretical background regarding biology and other exact sciences (we both studied bioscience engineering). We have always been dreaming of putting this theoretical knowledge into practice, and that's one of the main reasons we want to workaway.

We were both active in youth movements as monitors for multiple years. Here we learned to build and live in the outside. We also worked as teachers on different schools with kids of different ages, where we developed patience and good social skills.

Ciska has gained some experience by working on an organic farm last summer.

Sam loves to cook with fresh ingredients from our own kitchen garden and is able to make delicious meals.

Ciska loves to play soccer and dance. We both really love music. Sam plays the guitar and hopes to meet musicians to learn more and jam together. We both really like reading and playing board games. We love to cook together and enjoy beautiful moments.
