Description

I'm Sam (he/him) originally from the north east of England but currently residing in Oxford.
I studied mechanical engineering and have worked as an engineer for the last few years however I am looking at retraining in psychotherapy and currently volunteer for a local recovery focused mental health charity.

My main interests are playing music (mainly jazz guitar but I'm also learning the double bass), rock climbing, hiking, cycling. I'm also interested in Buddhist psychology/philosophy, mediation, non-violent communication and authentic relating practices.

I am interested in workaways as a way to help broaden my horizons, deeply connect with people, learn new skills and help support causes I feel passionate about.

I have cooking experience from working in kitchens and cafes.
I do not have any formal carpentry training however I do have basic practical skills and experience from working with power tools on other projects (i.e. drill, table saw, grinder etc.) .
I have some sailing experience and recently sailed from Ireland to Norway.
I play jazz guitar and love playing with other musicians :)
