Hi, I’m Gary! I’m a 33-year-old Mexican, currently traveling around the USA visiting friends and family, but specially living an expansive experience. I'm so grateful with these Workaway experiences as it has lead me to get to know amazing people and share great moments.
I have an industrial engineering degree. Planning and executing on different projects is something I'm good at and happy to share. I have experience in house renovation and construction, one of my hobbies is to build furniture from wood pallets.
I would love to discover new countries and cultures. I'm an extrovert introvert, open hearted, and optimist.
I like to stay active. My passion is football (soccer) but I enjoy a wide variety of other things like yoga, hiking, swimming, gym workout, and pretty much anything that keeps my body moving and my mind healthy.
I’m really comfortable around all kind of animals. From flurry house friends to whales and sharks!

- Construction and house renovation.
- Gardening
- Wood working. A hobbie I started a few years ago.
- Welding. I received manufacturing education at university.
- I.T. Computer software and hardware installation.
- Hardware use. From the basics like a hammer to some technical e.g. Lathe, bench drill, saw.
- Basic automotive mechanics and maintenance. My family owns a mechanic shop where I learn a few things about cars.
- Food preparation. Worked as cook in two Mexican restaurants.
- Fitness training. I'm a former football player at professional level in Mexico, I did this till I was 18 and then kept playing in minor leagues till nowadays, also took a course on physical training in America and couched a few persons.
- Kids caring. I'm Uncle of two kids, 16 and 6 y.o. which I often take care of.
