  • Description

Hi there! We’re Ruby and Jamie — a friendly, easygoing couple from Melbourne, Australia, who love adventure, nature, animals, art, and meeting new people.

Jamie is a school teacher and visual artist who’s passionate about music and film. He’s great with kids, super creative, and has a really gentle, down-to-earth vibe. I (Ruby) work at a not-for-profit after school care, where I focus on cultural responsiveness and creating spaces where every kid feels safe and celebrated. I’m also big on community projects, art, and anything to do with storytelling and culture.

Between us, we’ve got a pretty handy mix of skills: teaching, childcare, cooking, cleaning, art, DIY, community building — and we’re always keen to learn more. We’re both creative, reliable, and love throwing ourselves into new experiences with an open heart and a good sense of humour.

We’re happiest when we’re outdoors, surrounded by animals, creating something, sharing good food, or learning about new ways of life. We care a lot about the environment, living mindfully, and giving back wherever we can.

We’d love to help out however we’re needed — whether that’s working with kids, gardening, painting, cooking, building, or being an extra pair of hands around the place. We’re super excited to learn new skills, meet awesome people, and have some fun along the way!

We can’t wait to meet you!

  • More details about your skills

We both currently work in education — Jamie is a teacher with a strong focus on the arts, while I work at a not-for-profit after school care program, specialising in cultural responsiveness and neurodiverse-affirming practice.

Between us, we bring a wide range of skills: we are artistic, practical, sociable, and organised. We’re both confident cooks, with Jamie also skilled in basic building and handy work. We take pride in being clean, reliable, and mindful in everything we do.

Our passions for nature, mindfulness, community, and cultural exchange drive us to seek opportunities where we can contribute meaningfully.

We’re excited to offer our skills in education, cooking, cleaning, DIY projects, and community building, while being open and eager to learn new skills along the way. We are adaptable, hard-working, and committed to supporting the needs of the places and people we work with.
