Hi! My name is Rebecca and I'm a 26 year old New Zealander.
I've been in Sweden since October 2019 living with different WorkAway hosts. I've came to Sweden after living and working in London in a fast-paced stressful job in a creative communications agency.
I love keeping busy and am a hard worker. I also have good initiative which i have found has come in really useful for both myself and my hosts, making our lives easy and productive!
I'm passionate about all things outdoors. In my free time I love exploring by foot, bike or in the water!
I am currently living and working on a husky farm in the North and absolutely love it.
I've always had my own vegetable garden so I love cooking and gardening. My dream is to build my own fully self-sufficient home one day, so I would love to learn more during my time in Sweden.
I love meeting new and interesting people.

Dog handling and mushing - I have been at White Horizon since December 2019 and have learnt so much - as well as realising it is a real passion of mine!
Gardening - I'm a keen gardener and have grown up in the garden. I have kept and maintained my own vegetable garden since leaving home. I have also worked on a berry farm picking and packing brambles.
Upcycling/furniture restoration - I love creating and using my hands and am always upcycling items i have found or purchased at the thrift store. I have renovated a house with the help of my family so am good at painting, sanding and other DIY jobs.
General house keeping - I am very organised, clean person and am good at getting things in order.
Childcare - I worked at an after school care and holiday programme for six years, looking after children aged 5-14
Swimming and waterpolo coach - I used to compete at a national level for New Zealand. I am a qualified swim coach for children two years and above. I also coached waterpolo for five years.
Marketing communications consultant - I have been working in the marketing communication industry for the past five years in New Zealand and London, working with some of the world's biggest brands.
