Description
I am passionate follower of Jesus Christ and my goal in life is to love and obey him. He has given me a joy that I cannot explain. I find myself the most joyful when I am in nature. I love to farm and get my hands and feet in the dirt. Working with animals, with plants, and tending his creation is what I would love to do the rest of my life. However this isn’t complete without connecting to the people around me. The world is too big of a place to stay in one spot and there is too much to learn to claim that we know it all. I’m passionate about travel, culture, and learning from other individuals. I want to gain as many experiences as I can in the world and meet as many people as possible! Even though I am an introvert I thoroughly enjoy quality time with people. I love to get to know the stories of each person. We have all been through so much.

I have a large variety of experience with agriculture, farming, herding, and shepherding- including cheese making, homesteading, self sufficiency, and organic methods. I am a very hard worker and love to work outside. It I feel there is never an end to learning so I am hoping I can learn more and more and maybe share some of my knowledge as well.

I am very interested in herbalism and wildcrafting. I spend time in the woods foraging and gathering wild edibles and herbs. My knowledge is basic but growing fast and I would love to learn more and eventually maybe go to school for herbal medicine. I believe that everything we need to heal has been given to us on this earth.
as an introvert I recharge by being alone. but please don't be offended or fooled! I crave fellowship and community and believe it is more important than food or shelter. however I am hyper independent and tend to take care of myself. I mostly prefer to cook and do my own thing but really enjoy spending time with people. it's best to communicate as much as possible with me, especially when I strive so we can get a good picture of expectations.

I hadnt even met Michele and Andrea before I knew I loved them. I had so many questions to make sure the farm seemed like a fit, and Michele was quick to respond with patience, friendliness, courtesy, and detail. So when I met them, of course it only got better. They have created with such hard work a little Piece of paradise. Michele… read more comes from A family of farmers (if you are privileged enough to meet them you will fall in love with them!) and is one of the most knowledgeable farmers I know. Andrea has so much passion and wisdom and knowledge about the land and wild herbs. They are passionate about what they do and not only talk about it, but live it as well. I have spent a lot of time on farms but I came away so humbled. I learned so much from them And I felt I could have spend a whole year more learning all the ancient wisdom they have. Although they are young, they have such a wisdom and peace about them that is so inviting. They are patient and kind, but they don’t hesitate to speak their minds and let you know what they require of if you are doing something they want you to do differently. They expect you to work hard yet also expect you to relax and enjoy the beauty around you and the people you are with. They do everything out of respect and love and expect you to do the same- which is not hard to do to a couple like them :) I only spent 2 and a half weeks with them and I wish I could have stayed longer.
They have built the most beautiful garden I have seen- all by hand and they work so hard on it. Almost everything we ate was grown by them- marinated artichokes, jams, breads, fresh salad, tomato sauce, fresh cheese from the goats, and we enjoyed the challenge of eating only what was in season. Fresh baked traditional Calabrian bread every week in a stone oven, and the most delicious and fresh vegetables grown with love. The fresh air, the pure and clean water to drink and swim in, dirty hands and feet at the end of the day- I craved more.
But ultimately, even if the farm hadn’t been beautiful, even if I hadn’t gotten to cuddle with puppies, go to sleep looking down on clouds and beautiful sunsets, milk the goats and take them on walks… even if the work had been boring, I still would have loved it because of Andrea and Michele. Kind, generous, honest, knowledgeable, funny, hospitable… there aren’t enough words to describe how much I love them!!
