Description
Hello! Hi, I’m Raquel, I’m a 23 year old Fine Arts graduate with a passion for creativity, nature, and hands-on work. Originally from New York, I’ve spent the last few years exploring diverse experiences that combine my love for art, the outdoors, and community engagement and am looking to go back to school to explore my love for early childhood education. One of the most transformative experiences of my life was living and working on a mountain in Colombia after my mom moved back to where she grew up. There I learned how to milk cows, cook family meals and live off the land. During my time studying art I also fell in love with sculptural welding and metal work.

More details about your skills
My background in Fine Arts and diverse life experiences have equipped me with a range of skills that I’m eager to share:
Art and Creativity: With a degree in Fine Arts, I’m skilled in various artistic mediums, including painting, drawing, sculpture, and more. I love bringing creativity into every aspect of life and can assist with any artistic projects or teach art to both children and adults.
Working with Children: I have a genuine passion for working with children. Whether it’s teaching art, organizing creative workshops, or simply spending time engaging in play, I find great joy in nurturing young minds and encouraging their creativity and curiosity.
Welding: Welding is another skill I’m proud to have under my belt. I learned how to weld in college and was lucky enough to become an apprentice this last year in a welding studio in Brooklyn. I enjoy the challenge and precision involved in metalwork and can assist with any welding projects.
Outdoor and Manual Work: My time in Colombia taught me the value of hard work in the great outdoors. I’m experienced in gardening, livestock and maintenance, and I’m not afraid to get my hands dirty!Age
